PTP is pleased to announce the second topic in our Powerbase Workshop series: Form Builder! We'll use the first hour in this 2-hour session to conduct a demonstration of how to use Powerbase Form Builder, followed by one hour of guided practice time, including form scenarios and plenty of time for questions.
Note: form builder is an advanced feature and requires a general familiarity with the basics of Powerbase and the difference between Contacts, Activities, Participants, and Contributions.
As most of you know, there are many ways to create a form in Powerbase - Profiles, Webform, Petitions, etc. Over the last five years, the CiviCRM core developers have been hard at work to build a new form builder system designed to supercede all the others.
Spoiler alert: Form Builder is not yet feature complete! But, Form Builder is starting to pick up steam and currently offers some useful functionality, especially when paired with Search Kit. Using Form Builder you can:
- Create forms that record multiple contacts, relationships and activities
- Pair with Search Kit to create a custom report, with just the filters you want
- Stay within the Powerbase interface - no need to juggle links to get to the Drupal side.
Note: This is not a beginners workshop. It is geared towards advanced users who want to learn what's in store with Powerbase and start learning the tool that will eventually become the standard form building tool in Powerbase.
