Supporting a Woman's Right to Make Healthy Decisions:
Your PowerBase and the Recent DDoS Attacks

The conservative right has been escalating the attack on women's rights to make decisions about their reproductive destiny by denying access to safe and affordable health services. You may have seen the recent news involving Planned Parenthood and Congress. What you may not have heard about are the attacks some people are using to bring down the websites of women's health and reproductive justice organizations.

PTP and movement partner MayFirst People Link were recent recipients of a massive Distributed Denial of Service Attack (DDoS attack). These attacks continued for several days last week. In this half-hour session we'll discuss:

  • What happened? What exactly are DDoS attacks? Was your data safe?
  • What we did to repel the attacks.
  • What you can do to keep your data safe
  • Question and Answer session
